Charity & Community

Envision develop young people’s employability by empowering them to tackle real-life social problems.

Working with children from less priveledged background in our home town of Bristol, alongside Birminigham and London, Envision bring together local businesses, schools, charities and volunteers to provide a practical learning experience which enables young people to develop the skills they need to succeed in work and life. In return, young people invest their time in developing projects which give back to the community.

Gunner & Co. support 4 youngsters through the programme directly, but that could be more with your support.

SPANA has been the charity for the working animals of the world since 1923, providing free veterinary care to horses, donkeys, mules and camels in some of the world’s poorest countries. The charity improves the welfare of working animals in three ways: free veterinary treatment, education and training, and emergency and outreach projects..

SPANA also carries out a community training programme, working with animal owners in developing countries to address the root causes of welfare problems. The programme is changing attitudes and behaviours, promoting humane treatment of animals and reducing preventable problems and the need for veterinary services.

Gunner & Co.’s MD Louise Jeffreys has a hole in her heart – a suprisingly common congenital condition, and has benefitted greatly from the work of Bristol Heart Institute, in part supported by the British Heart Foundation. In 2022 Louise ran Cardiff Half Marathon in aid of the British Heart Foundtion.
