Close Brothers Asset Management has added another £300M assets under advice through the acquisition of Eos Wealth Management, the specialist IFA firm focussed on advising major sports professionals.
Following the completion of the acquisition, the full Eos operation, with 28 employees will move across to Close brothers, based out of their London office.
This is the first acquisition in 2016 for Close Brothers, after purchasing Edinburgh-based Mackay Stewart & Brown in April 2015.
Commenting on this acquisition, Andy Cumming, Close Brothers Asset Management head of advice, said
‘Eos is completely client-focussed, chartered, and holds strong professional links. Its team of high calibre and ambitious advisers will complement our integrated wealth management offering perfectly and strengthen our presence in London,’ he said.
Co-founder of Eos, Peter Kelsey added:
‘It was really important for us to find a buyer who had our clients’ best interests at heart.
‘Close Brothers Asset Management fits the bill perfectly. The company’s professional approach closely aligns with our own, and our clients will benefit from Close Brothers’ rigourous and successful approach to investment management.’
