Independent Wealth Planners UK has announced the acquisition of two Midlands-based firms, Donald Wealth Management and Bishop Armstrong Financial Planning.
The acquisitions are part of a significant growth plan for IWP, representing the firm’s ninth and tenth deals of 2020, and significantly bolster its Midlands presence. Both firms will join Alexander Grace, IWP’s regional wealth investment firm.
Donald Wealth Management is based in Sutton Coldfield and has an AUA of £135m.
Jamie Donald, Director of Donald Wealth Management, says “As a family firm it was important to me to find the right fit for our clients and our business. In joining Alexander Grace and IWP we have found a group that truly keeps clients at the heart of everything they do. I’m excited for this next chapter of Donald Wealth Management, accessing support and infrastructure as part of Alexander Grace and IWP while focusing on what we do best, looking after our clients”.
David Inglesfield, CEO of IWP, says, “I’m thrilled to see Donald Wealth Management join Alexander Grace. This is the third excellent local firm to become part of Alexander Grace in 2020. We are proud of our investment in the region as we aim to make great independent local advice available to more people.”
Bishop Armstrong Financial Planning Ltd is headquartered in Leamington Spa. An established firm, Bishop Armstrong is led by Phil Bishop and combines Wealth Management with comprehensive financial planning. Bishop Armstrong has a total of £46m in AUA.
Phil Bishop, Director of Bishop Armstrong, says “I first spoke to IWP a couple of years ago and have been hugely impressed with the way that they have approached the marketplace. Being passionate about the independence of the advice they give means that clients’ best interests are right at the heart of everything they do. Whilst I’ll be sad to leave friends at Aspect Consultants after 10 happy years, I couldn’t be more excited to be joining IWP’s Midlands hub, Alexander Grace.”
