Engage Financial Services begins its acquisition trail with first purchase of Kench & Co

Engage Financial Services (Engage FS) has acquired Kench & Co Financial Services, an adviser based in Henley-on-Thames.

The deal – Engage FS’s first adviser purchase – will add around 27 client families to the London financial planner’s books. Kench & Co FS, which is headed up by Eric Kench and John Rook, was founded back in 2006.

Sam Sloma, the managing director at Engage FS, commented: “Myself and the team from Engage FS are thrilled that John and Eric have chosen us to succeed them and we are delighted to be working with Kench’s clients.”

“John and Eric have been considering their succession and what they believe is the right option for their clients. We know that they put their clients first and were keen to find the right firm to continue to look after clients with the same focus and bespoke advice.”

He added: “We pride ourselves on our client focus and personal relationships. We have a very strong team-approach and long-term staff committed to our business.”

Engage hopes that this first acquisition will set the precedent for a long trajectory of further investments. The company confirmed that it is in ongoing talks with other potential vendors.
