Tatton-backed consolidator Absolute Financial Group has acquired four independent financial advice firms across the North-West. The deals add £577m in assets under advice, taking total AUA to more than £2.1bn.

The transactions form part of a wider expansion strategy. Since launch, 10 IFA firms across England have joined the group, with eight deals completed in the last month.

North-West IFA acquisitions strengthen Absolute Financial Group growth

Absolute Financial Group has acquired Allied Financial Services in Wigan, RSJ Financial Planning in Liverpool, Millcroft Wealth Management in Manchester, and Mackenzie Financial Planning in Bury.

Together, these acquisitions significantly strengthen the group’s North-West presence. In addition, Allied Financial Services will act as a regional hub for the area.

All firms will retain their existing offices and teams. As a result, the group aims to combine local continuity with national scale.

Allied Financial Services leads North-West consolidation strategy

Alisdair Lindley, founder of Allied Financial Services, said: “Absolute’s long-term vision, commitment to adviser support, and respect for the individuality of local businesses made this a natural fit.

“Becoming the North-West hub gives us the opportunity to retain our local roots while benefiting from the scale, investment, and collaborative strength of a growing national group.”

His comments reflect a wider trend in North-West financial advice consolidation. Increasingly, regional firms are forming hubs within larger national platforms.

Rapid expansion drives Absolute Financial Group acquisitions

Absolute Financial Group continues to expand at pace. In April, the group added £255m in AUA through acquisitions including Padstone Financial Management, Campton Financial Services, and Iceni Financial Advisers.

David Carter, CEO of Absolute Financial Group, said: “Welcoming four highly respected North-West firms into Absolute Financial Group is another significant milestone in our national growth strategy, which is continuing at pace.

“These businesses add not only scale but deep local expertise, strong client relationships, and shared values around the importance of truly independent advice.

“Establishing a North-West hub through Allied Financial Services strengthens our regional presence and underlines our commitment to supporting advisers with the infrastructure, resources, and autonomy they need to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.”

UK financial advice consolidation continues

The UK financial planning sector continues to consolidate as firms pursue scale and efficiency. Larger groups are increasingly acquiring regional advisory businesses to strengthen national coverage.

At the same time, buyer focus remains on firms with strong client relationships and established local reputations. This supports a growing hub-based model across the industry.

What this means for business owners considering a sale

For business owners, this deal highlights sustained demand for high-quality advisory firms with recurring revenue and strong client retention.

It also demonstrates how regional firms can play a key role in national consolidation strategies, particularly when operating within established local markets.
