FE fundinfo has acquired Contengo, a specialist provider of technology solutions for the wealth-advice sector, for an undisclosed sum.

Contengo’s software will be integrated into FE fundinfo’s Nexus platform. The deal is designed to expand the firm’s capability to deliver advanced data-migration, reporting and analytics services to financial advisers—enabling them to streamline processes and reduce manual workloads.

A spokesperson for FE fundinfo commented that the acquisition aligns with their strategic drive to deepen their tech stack for advisers, saying:

“This move will allow us to bring next-generation technology into Nexus and provide our adviser clients with greater automation, insight and efficiency.”

Contengo’s leadership likewise welcomed the transaction, emphasising the opportunity to scale their offering:

“Becoming part of FE fundinfo gives us the chance to reach wider markets, while continuing to deliver the specialist solutions our users rely on.”

Under the terms of the transaction, Contengo’s team will join FE fundinfo’s existing operations. The firms say that the integration will be handled “in a way that preserves the values and client focus of Contengo, while harnessing FE fundinfo’s reach and platform strength”.

This acquisition continues FE fundinfo’s series of strategic moves aimed at enhancing its proposition in the adviser-technology and data space, as firms in the financial-planning market increasingly prioritise technological integration and operational efficiency.
