Financial Planner and wealth manager Saltus has bought Newcastle-based Financial Planning firm Lowes Financial Management for an undisclosed amount.

Lowes announced: “Lowes is now part of the Saltus group, marking a new chapter in our 54 year history.”

“This collaboration is designed to enhance the service and value we deliver, while staying true to the values and principles that have defined the firm for over 50 years. This marks an evolution in Lowes’ journey – one that honours its past while embracing future opportunities for growth and innovation.”

Founded in Newcastle in 1971, Lowes has been providing advice since 1971 and employs about 90 people. In 2023, the firm launched an in-house platform with technology provider Third Financial to ensure portfolios with more complex investments could be featured.

Saltus managing partner Jon Macintosh added: “We know that the expertise within Lowes will compliment our established offering perfectly.

“We’ve been impressed with the business they’ve built and are excited about the next step of our journey together.”
