Shackleton announces the acquisition of Norfolk-based advice firm, Harrold Financial Planning Ltd. This expands Shackleton’s presence to the East of England as the group looks to accelerate its nationwide presence.

Headquartered in London, Shackleton is a Chartered financial adviser and wealth manager. Launched in December 2024, Shackleton united a group of like-minded firms—brought together through strategic acquisitions—under a single, integrated operating model, ensuring a consistent and client-focused approach to wealth management.

In March 2021, Sovereign Capital Partners, a UK private equity Buy & Build specialist, completed a significant investment worth £55 million in Skerritts, one of the co-founders of Shackleton. The objective was to develop the business through a strategy of organic and acquisitive growth, which has seen the addition of 16 new offices across the UK, establishing the firm with a truly nationwide presence.

The purchase of HFP adds approximately £300 million of AUM and brings the number of deals that the Shackleton Group has completed since the Sovereign investment up to sixteen.
Paul Feeney, CEO of Shackleton, says: “I am delighted to welcome the talented team at HFP to the Shackleton Group. This acquisition expands our presence into the east of England and aligns perfectly with our goal of being Britain’s financial adviser.”

Neil Warne and Robyn Lovatt, Managing Directors of HFP, say: “We spent significant time evaluating companies that would complement our ethos and ensure we are able to continue offering a comprehensive range of services to our clients. Joining Shackleton allows us to provide the added resources and benefits that come with being part of a larger group.
We are very pleased we have agreed to become a part of Shackleton as they uphold the same high standards we strive to maintain. Being part of Shackleton will help us invest in and grow the business while ensuring our valued clients remain well cared for into the future.”
