Skerritts is delighted to announce the acquisition of London-based advice firm, Black Swan Financial Planning. This enhances Skerritts’ presence in London and the South East of England as the group looks to accelerate its expansion nationally.
Headquartered in Hove, Skerritts is a chartered financial adviser and wealth manager. In March 2021, Sovereign Capital Partners, a UK private equity Buy & Build specialist, completed a significant investment worth £55 million to develop the business through a strategy of organic and acquisitive growth, which has seen the addition of new offices in Chester, Kent, Hampshire and London.
The purchase of Black Swan adds over £540 million of AUM and brings the number of deals that the Skerritts Group has completed since the Sovereign investment up to ten.
Paul Feeney, CEO of Skerritts, says: “I am pleased to welcome Paul and his team of talented staff to the Skerritts Group. Together, we will uphold our commitment to deliver financial freedom to the people of Britain”.
Paul Hutton, Managing Director of Black Swan, says: “We have spent considerable time looking at companies that would complement us and ensure we are able to continue to offer a great range of services to our clients with the extra resources and benefits that being part of a larger group will bring.
We are very pleased we have agreed to become a part of the Skerritts Group as they share the same high standards we always aim to set. Skerritts will help us invest in and grow the business and ensure our valued clients will be well looked after going forwards.”
Earlier this month, Skerritts Group announced the acquisition of Horley-based financial planning firm, KMG Independent Limited and its sister firm KMG Investment Management Limited. The purchase of the KMG companies adds over £400million of AUM. This enhances Skerritts’ presence in the South East of England as the group looks to accelerate its expansion nationally.
