Wren Sterling, a leading financial advisory firm, has acquired In Focus Group, a Hampshire coast-based advice firm, in a deal that adds £450 million in assets under management to its portfolio. This acquisition is Wren Sterling’s third in 2024, following the purchases of TW Financial, brokered by Gunner & Co. and Howe Maxted Group earlier in the year.
In Focus Group, led by Managing Director Nick Stewart, includes two previously acquired firms, Certus and Hughes Carne. The deal will see 2,500 clients and £450 million in assets transition to Wren Sterling. The Fareham office of In Focus Group will now serve as Wren Sterling’s new Solent office, with plans for further expansion.
Nick Stewart highlighted the advantages of joining Wren Sterling, citing access to the firm’s resources and structure as key factors that will enable continued growth and a focus on delivering high-quality, personalized advice to clients. He also noted that Wren Sterling’s experience in managing acquisitions allowed for a smooth transition with minimal disruption to clients.
Wren Sterling’s CEO, James Twining, praised the business built by Stewart and his team, recognizing their blend of strategic acquisitions and entrepreneurial spirit. He emphasized that the south coast is a critical area for the firm’s expansion, with opportunities to grow in Southampton, Portsmouth, and surrounding regions.
