Investec sells Williams de Broë to Swiss wealth management business Bellecapital.

The move will bolster the recently opened Bellecapital London office, with Jason Sharp, Henry Simpson and Steve Holmes joining as directors, along with the Williams de Broë client book.  However the deal does not include the Williams de Broë brand, which will remain with Investec.  Neither the size of the client book nor the value of the deal has been disclosed.
Bellecapital co-founder Mark Eberle said: ‘The acquisition of this team brings outstanding talent and clients to the table. Importantly, they add an advisory arm to our discretionary asset management business, especially important to global clients who require interaction with market professionals.’
Henry Simpson added: ‘We are excited to join Bellecapital, a firm that is dynamic, growing and entrepreneurial. We were drawn to the fact the firm is owner-managed, has a pure investment focus and excellent alignment of interest with clients.’
Bellecapital UK, opened last year in Berkeley Square, to service both clients in the UK and the EU, via passporting under Mifid II regulations.  The business was strengthened last June with the appointment of former Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management Europe head David Haythe.
