Independent Wealth Planners has purchased Southport-based Premier Wealth Management, a chartered financial planner which advises high-net-worth individuals.
The deal significantly expands IWP’s presence in Lancashire. Premier’s staff will join IWP’s Lancs team, Prosper Wealth Management. The team includes Adrian Shandley, Premier’s managing director, four advisers, two paraplanners and six administrative staff.
Mr Shandley spoke with optimism about becoming part of IWP:
“Not only has it invested in our business up front, but also has not made any wholesale or disruptive changes to our business model, ensuring a smooth transition for our clients. I am really excited to start working as part of the group.”
The deal follows on from a strong year of acquisitions for IWP. The Premier acquisition marks its twenty-ninth purchase, and its third deal of November alone.
IWP has been increasing its reach across the nation, with recent acquisitions in Newcastle, Scotland and Yorkshire.
