Kreston Reeves acquires Canterbury adviser

A Canterbury-based adviser, Tarvos Wealth, has been purchased by Kreston Reeves Financial Planning.

Craven Street Capital’s wealth management business, Craven Street Wealth, owns Kreston Reeves, and will see its assets under advice grow to £1.15bn and its advice team to 18 with the new acquisition.

Tarvos is headed up by Simon Ludden, who is soon to enter retirement. He emphasised that Kreston Reeves was a “perfect fit” for Tarvos Wealth as he exits the industry.

“We are very excited about the possibilities that this brings for our staff and our clients and though I shall be looking forward to my retirement, part of me wishes that I could stay on to watch the company grow.”

Ruth Dolan, director at Tarvos Wealth, said: “We see this as a natural fit with both companies aligning their culture and vision, to continue to provide a high standard of advice and service to clients.

“With both firms’ historic roots in the accountancy and legal sector, it gives us a fantastic opportunity to continue to build a trusted service upon which other professionals can rely for their clients.”

Tom Barnett, managing director of Craven Street Wealth and Kreston Reeves Financial Planning said: “We are delighted to have completed this acquisition at an important stage of our plans for development after detailed discussions over an extensive period of time.”

Craven Street Wealth was launched last year with the acquisitions of Kreston Reeves and Christchurch.
