Perspective has revealed a 15-strong acquisition pipeline of deals at varying stages – seven that are expected to complete in the near future, and eight that are in the “advanced negotiation” stage – many of which are represented by Gunner & Co. .
The pipeline comes in the wake of the appointment of Sam Smith as new acquisitions director, as well as Persepective’s reciept of a “major investment” from CBPE Capital at the end of last year.
Sam joined Perspective from rival firm Attivo (having taken over from Gunner & Co.’s senior broker Joshua Lee). He commented: “I realise the importance of developing trust and confidence with vendors during acquisitions and know that Perspective will continue to give their clients an excellent service.
“Perspective’s ambition is both clear and impressive and I look forward to using my experience to help make further successful acquisitions.”
Ian Wilkinson, chief executive of Prospective, spoke about his vision for Perspective’s external growth: “Our focus remains on acquiring businesses from vendors who are looking to retire, whether immediately or within a five to six year period, which have Ebitdas of up to £1m and three to four shareholders, who are also the lead advisers.”
“Sam’s appointment is a further step in delivering our strategy of growth through both acquisitions and organic growth and we welcome him to the group.
“We are fortunate to offer independent and whole of market advice across a well-established network of local offices, be well-funded and have a track record of successfully completing and integrating IFA business for over 12 years.”
Perspective has secured 36 acquisitions since it was founded in 2008, the latest of which was the purchase of Jones Hill, which contributed £44m in assets under management to the firm.
