South Western Ambulance Charity
bemoreben is our wellbeing charity for 2020.
Ben Pritchard was just 8 years old when he died from a rare and very aggressive brain tumour called DIPG. Prior to his diagnosis he was a fit, healthy and happy young boy who loved life.
After his death, Ben’s parents found there was little in the way of ongoing, continuous support available for them. Even less for bereaved siblings and nothing for other family members, so they set up the Benjamin Pritchard Foundation. The charity aims to provide a reliable, informal support network for parents whose child has died and their immediate families as well as offering ongoing services such as counselling and complimentary therapies.
Gunner & Co. are proud to fund a monthly coffee morning for bereaved families.
Wellboring is Gunner & Co.’s international charity for 2020.
Wellboring funds and organises the drilling of water boreholes, and the installation of pumps, pipes, and supporting infrastructure in East Africa, giving clean water to villages and schools. This reduces child mortality and illness, improves school attendance, and can transform the lives of children, their teachers, and the wider community.
We donate a % of our turnover to Wellboring annually.
The South Western Ambulance Charity is our regional charity for 2020.
The South Western Ambulance Charity support the SW community, their volunteer heroes and those who care for others locally. Their initiatives include increased public access to defibrillators resulting in more people receiving a life-saving shock as quickly as possible, enhancements to the Staying Well Service, providing staff and volunteers with access to sources of help and support with their physical and mental health and wellbeing and supporting the provision of enhanced equipment over and above that provided by the NHS Trust to Community First Responder volunteers.
We support The South Western Ambulance Charity through a monthly donation and through making them our Amazon Smile Partner (Find out more here)
