Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has bought Dorset-based financial adviser Bottriell Adams, subject to regulatory approval.
The deal will add £220m in assets under management (AUM) to its existing £16.2bn AUM.
As part of the deal, the partners, financial planners and support team at Bottriell Adams will all join CBAM.
CBAM wealth planning head John Edmeads said “Bottriell Adams has a strong client ethos, Gary Bottriell, the firm’s managing partner, has built a very strong and long-standing client base, largely driven through client referrals and his personal relationships.”
He added ” “I am delighted to welcome Bottriell Adams to the CBAM family, another acquisition which further underlines the fact that we are a dynamic and growing business.”
Clients from the IFA will migrate into CBAM’s investment solutions and platform to some degree, should it be the right thing for clients, Edmeads explained.
The acquisition is part of CBAM’s growth strategy to extend the business’ regional footprint in the South West.
