Chartered financial planning group Fairstone has appointed Chris Rigg as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Rigg takes up the role with immediate effect and will also join the Fairstone Group board of directors.
With over 20 years of corporate finance experience, he has been involved in some of the North East’s leading businesses including Quantum Pharma PLC, Northern Recruitment Group and Barclays Bank. He has extensive acquisition, sale, MBO and fundraising experience in private equity and PLC markets.
Fairstone Chief Executive Lee Hartley said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Chris to Fairstone’s senior management team. We have been developing our executive capability over the last 12 months as we gear up for our next stage of growth. I am entirely confident in Chris’ ability to utilise his extensive experience to contribute to the future evolution of the business.”
Rigg added: “Having worked in the North East throughout my career I have been very aware of Fairstone’s success and its growth trajectory is hard to ignore. I am delighted to be joining such an innovative business with such a strong team and I look forward to being a key part of the firm’s continued success.”
Fiarstone’s DBO acquisition model has been raising momentum over the last 12 months, and is an appealing option for advisers looking to plan a longer term exit strategy, allowing the principals to grow the business to realise a very strong exit value.
Fairstone wished outgoing CFO, Ged Murray, every success with his future endeavours.
